The Jivewires, a horn intensive seven piece band from Ottawa, play what lead singer and trombonist Steve Berndt calls "jump blues" -a unique mix of rock 'n' roll, rhythm & blues, jazz and blues. The music has the brassy energy of a Benny Goodman like big swing, but it's more eclectic and performed by a smaller group of musicians. These talented and fun guys will no doubt be in their usual explosive shape. Be careful, it's gonna swing!!
